It is with great pleasure and anticipation we welcome Y’s Men and Y’s Menettes to Norway and Stavanger.
All the clubs in District Rogaland, Region Norway are, working together, planning and organising, with a view to arranging the 70th International Convention, the 14th Youth Convocation and ICM.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Stavanger in August 2012. You will get to know new people, many of whom will have a different cultural background than yourself. You will be inspired and motivated to go on being a participant in Y’s Men work. You will also experience a miniature Norway in a beautiful landscape where you find fisheries and other industries in the midst of a natural scenery of sandy beaches, agricultural areas, fjords and mountains.

When Stavanger was the European Capital of culture in 2008 we chose "Open Port" as our slogan. This is exactly what we want to be. Stavanger is Norway's fourth biggest city with a population of some 125 000 people. 15 per cent of those who are living here are born in other countries than Norway. That makes Stavanger a very international municipality.
Stavanger is Norway's capital of oil. The city offers international and diversified business life and cultural life as well.
